Sultan’s Lentil Soup (Mimicking Sultan's Restaurant's soup)
Ingredients
• 3 Cups of Lentils
• 1 Cup of White Rice
• 3 Medium (to large) Onions
• 5 Teaspoons Cumin
• 5 Teaspoons Curry Powder
• 3 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
*Salt to Taste
Put the lentils and the rice in a large cooking pot, fill with water (6-7 quarts?). Chop up the onion and add the the pot. Next add the spices and garlic. Stir everything together and then turn on the heat (if you turn on the heat wtihout stiring the lentils and rice they will stick to the bottom). Cook until the lentils are mushy (falling apart), the rice is done and the lentils are translucent. Add salt until the desired flavor is reached, or salt it some and then allow people to add more if they so desire.
Serve with Lemon Juice
