Grandma Houser’s Apple Cake

Grandma Houser’s Apple Cake

Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups Wesson oil
2 Teasp. Vanilla
1/4 Teasp. Salt
1 Teasp. Soda
3 cups flour
3 pealed + cut apples
1 cup nuts (We omit the nuts)
1 teasp. Nutmeg + 1 teasp. Cinnamon


Mix first 4 ingredients.  Sift flour, salt, soda, + spices, mix in with first four - Add nuts (We don't add nuts) + apples.  Bake at 350 for about 1 1/2 hours. 

Lambert Tip
Use four smaller bunt pans,  they will cook faster and more thoroughly before getting too dark.  Make a pan of muffins with the leftover batter
